“We imagined the landscape as a series of scenes, where lush greenery flow through the residents’ garden and sculptural planting accent the rooftop bay views. Inspired by St Kilda’s coastal rhythm, every detail is designed to catch the light and create moments of stillness.”

Drawing on St Kilda’s layered character, Florian Wild has imagined landscapes that feel immersive and alive. The Melbourne based studio utilises textural planting and seasonal colours to create a rhythm of calm from outside in, while clever selections liven the rooftop with sculptural greenery.

THE ARTIST

Melbourne-based artist Alex Walker transforms the building's entrance canopy into a living artwork, connecting The Gild to the story of Fitzroy Street.

The Gild brings Fitzroy Street's story of transformation into the present through a striking glass canopy conceived by Walker. Known for her exploration of light and perception using analogue photographic techniques, she transforms the building's entrance into an experience of colour and movement.
